My harddrive

I cleaned my harddrive. God rid of junk files, cleaned the registry. Defragged too.

Problem:

Now it takes about 5-10 minutes to boot. Uhh, Beth? Any ideas? The HDD is old ass old, but I dunno if its something minor. or if I killed it due to old age.

Either way, Bryan says I should get a new one. I dont see why. The thing still boots, but he thinks its grounds for me to waste a shit ton of money on a nice new one. I'm not bothering with that until I can assign my 14GB HDD with my old artwork (LOTS of it) as the slave drive. Sadly, both my current drive, extra drive, and my DVD drive (becuse the guy at comp USA lied to me) are all ATA, and I dont have enough spots on the motherboard to hook all those old peices of ass together without one of those special cables. And I dont happen to have one. I wouldnt mind getting a new SATA drive though, because then I'd be able to have two Harddrives and the DVD drive. I'd actually prefer three, no reason to throw out an old HDD unless its totally busted. But then I'd need a new DVD drive. Sigh. ATA cables can only be split two ways into Master and Slave so they can both be used on the same cable right? Stupid motherboard.
