Hooray! My DeviantART is almost a teenager.  


No, I'm not really excited.  I think I'm a bit more sad that I still log in from time to time.

None of you will see it because it all exists in my personal life!

I have been here for 10 years now.

I really hate what this place has become in the span of a decade.  It was lacking, then quite nice, then money grubbing, then somehow worse.


I really hate this place on many levels.


And yet I really think I should draw something for the occasion..I have no working tablet, I do not have photoshop on my laptop, and I have work tomorrow as well as a full day of watching my son.

My first friend that invited me here was blinddragon, who was later Spindali  He kept going, he will always be a great artist, and I really thank my friend Preston, who I met ENTIRELY by chance one night via IM in the olden days of AOL, who introduced me to this site.  You know he met me so randomly it took us days before he showed me art and I responded with art?  neat!  We're both a bit older now, he hit 30 and I'm 25.  But I think as far as most things are concerned...he was an excellent motivation to try harder.

He is the reason I joined this site!  Because of him I met my first boyfriend.  (hpkomic, I shall plug you now as I still care about you and your work.)  And I think it made me apply myself artwise where I went to college for it.  Game design college turned out to be a bust, as I had a whole debacle where they disallowed my re-entry after maternity leave, only to invite me back after I moved, preventing my last school term, but I'd say all the experiences were good overall.

I guess I can dig up my scanner and scrawl something.  If I'm not tired after work.  If I go manage, maybe it'll involve tits.

Yep.  Tits.

Yeah, I didn't really do anything.  Well, nothing I put up here.

My kid is taking a lot of my energy, since he is getting quite good at climbing.  I'd like to sit down and draw, but he's drawn to me like a magnet.  He also doesn't really let me play video games.  He is, however, adorable.

I moved back to New York, brought my fiancee with me, who is now my Husband.  My son had a good year.  He can walk and make some word like sounds and is generally cute and cuddly.

My desktop still isn't set up, I mostly use my laptop.  It doesn't matter much though, because my tablet crapped out on me back in april or so.  And no desktop means my scanner isn't set up either.  So it'll probably be awhile before I submit anything unless it is going to be photography.

But it's all good.  Maybe I'll try to get something up here by my 10th deviant art birthday, March 16th.  It's not like I drew nothing this year, but 0% of it exists on a computer.  I'll try to draw more this year though.  If I can find the time and motivation.

And I guess I'll look through some of these messages too, since they are really piling up.

Well, 2012 was good.  See you all in 2013.

I'll update.  

So far this year I've moved into a new place and made 6/9ths of a baby (development-wise) so far.  My Intuos 2 still works, I just can't find a comfortable position to sit in, despite having my first ideas for months.  But I'll throw some stuff up here, and probably link a website when completed.  I'm trying to get a regular job that actually pays me a living wage that I enjoy.  It seems to be difficult to locate either criteria in this economic climate.  

I'm in a portfolio class for school, so most likely portfolio stuff will go here as well as on the website.  It'll mostly be sketches, but updating isn't so bad, if I remember.  I've been here for 8 years, but this place isn't exactly a priority.  It is full of adverts and standing out is difficult here even if I wanted to unless I'm doing something popular.  Also, on the off chance I do something acceptable, I don't want it stolen.

So yeah.  Talk to you later, nobody.
